The following is the Amiga-Z BBS Acceptable Use Policy . The purpose of this policy is to make it known the accepatble uses and general rules of this BBS. This policy can not cover ALL known problems issues and
events that may come up, but it will try to be flexable enough to accommodate all these things. Comments, questions, or complaints about this AUP may be sent to the Sysop via feedback by typing "F" at any prompt, posting in the BBS Support base in the local message base, or by sending an email to mobbyg@gmail.com.
I. User Access
1. All users will be given access to the BBS on an equal basis. Access
can be suspended by the SysOp for violations of the AUP. Notice
will be given of suspension of access by email. The SysOp can
also give increased access to certain users at his disrection for
the following reasons:
a. Appoint a user SubOp of a message or file base.
b. The user has made a monetary donation to the BBS.
c. The user has contributed to the BBS in some extraordinary
way.
2. Equal Access will be granted to users on one of the following
conditions:
a. The user gives a legitimate email address to contact
them at.
b. The user gives a legitimate phone number to contact them
at.
3. A User is allowed only one account on the system for their personal
use. Any additional accounts found will be deleted. In these cases,
the oldest accoutn will be considered the main account unless the
user contacts the SysOp(s) to specify the account they wish to
keep.
II. User Conduct
1. All users will refrain from flaming other users on a personal
level.
2. Users will refrain from flame baiting, trolling, or other
activities that would result in violations of the BBS AUP.
3. Users will refrain from conducting illegal activities on this BBS
or from promoting illegal activities from this BBS.
III. Uploading/Downloading/Posting
1. Uploading of copyrighted software or material is not allowed with
the exception of:
a. Shareware
b. Abondonware
c. Freeware
d. GPL/Open Source
e. If it contains an open distribution clause
f. Recieved permission from the copyright holder to distribute
This AUP is far from complete. Revisions will most likely be made in the future. All future updates will be announced via system news bulletins which can be seen at logon and by using the GO NEWS command from any prompt. Recomendations for additions to this AUP are always welcome. Please send them to the SysOp via the feedback command, by typing "F" at any prompt.
